Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

If you’re struggling with opioid addiction and have tried everything to combat it, we’re here to let you know that recovery is still possible. Our medically-assisted treatment program includes the use of Suboxone, an evidence-based approach to addiction recovery. Under our guidance, you can conquer addiction once and for all. We offer a comprehensive approach, taking into consideration each patient’s specific needs, to help you get back o the path of happiness and success.

What is Suboxone?

Suboxone is a medication designed to mitigate the effects of opioid withdrawal by blocking opiate receptors. It is an FDA-approved medication and often used as part of a medication-assisted treatment program to address opioid addiction. At Columbus Physicians Group, we offer Suboxone as a part of our comprehensive approach to addiction treatment. Our doctors are skilled in prescribing Suboxone and will ensure that our patients receive the necessary support and guidance they need to manage their treatment.

How Does Suboxone Help Addiction Treatment?

At Columbus Physicians Group, we understand the challenges of managing opioid addiction. That's why we offer Suboxone as a solution. Whether you need a short-term fix to get through withdrawals or a long-term solution, our experienced team can guide you through the process. Suboxone can help eliminate cravings while providing feelings of calm and relaxation, giving you the necessary tools to overcome addiction.

How is Suboxone Different from Methadone?

Suboxone is a safe and effective medication that replaces prescription pain pills or street opioids like heroin with a medication prescribed by a Medical Provider. Suboxone only partially fills the opioid receptors in the brain, which means patients do not continue to build a tolerance to opioids. This inability to build tolerance is the essential distinguishing characteristic from methadone.

Benefits of Suboxone

Suboxone is a medication that reduces withdrawal symptoms and makes the brain produce the same reaction that occurs during drug use, reducing withdrawal symptoms. It’s a safe and effective way to help individuals overcome their addiction and make healthier choices.

Pain Management

Pain management can be a complex issue, which is why Columbus Physicians Group has made it our mission to provide our patients with a comprehensive range of pain management options. While opioids can be effective for relieving pain, they pose a high risk of addiction. Suboxone is a safe, effective alternative that utilizes a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone to help manage pain without the risk of abuse. Our highly trained physicians work closely with each patient to develop a customized care plan that prioritizes their health and wellbeing.
